Becoming a professional counselor has been Linda Walker’s dream for as long as she can remember. Life experiences with a prior nursing career, years of volunteer work with families of critically and terminally ill children, and her own personal journey through the lengthy illness and death of her thirteen-year-old son, David, gave Linda the impetus to go back to school to become a counselor. Unable to transfer her outdated nursing school credits, she started college over as an adult learner with Freshman English—and it was worth it! She loves being a counselor. She loves helping people knowing that the Lord does not want us going through trying times alone.
Linda Walker is licensed in New Mexico as a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC). Linda Walker also holds the following certifications: Certified Sex Therapist (CST), American Board of Christian Sex Therapists; Diplomate Clinical Sexology, American 
Board of Sexology; Certified Clinical Sexual Addiction Specialist, International Association of Certified Clinical Sexual Addiction Specialists, Inc. (CCSAS); National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Board for Certified Counselors; Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (IBCC), International Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors. Additionally, Linda received her certification in Sex Therapy through the Sexual Wholeness Institute at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a MA in Counseling from Webster University, and a BA in Psychology from College of Santa Fe. Linda also has doctoral level classes in Biblical Counseling.
Linda Walker and her husband Bill have been happily married since 1982. They have two beautiful daughters; each married to wonderful husbands, and are blessed with five grandchildren. Linda and Bill love their church and enjoy several hobbies—their favorite being ballooning. Flying their hot air balloon, Honey D0, in Albuquerque, New Mexico (The Land of Enchantment) brings them a special joy: The smiley face on the top of their balloon is in memory of their son, David.
